Florence’s Coffee Cake
1 stick of butter or margarine
1 pkg. Yellow cake mix
1 pkg. Small instant vanilla pudding
1 cup of salad oil
½ pt sour cream
4 eggs
Mix all ingredients and beat 7 minutes at medium speed. Put ½ batter in a rectangular pan.
Strudel
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg (heaping)
Sift the above ingredients.
Cream the butter and sifted ingredients. Add ½ of this mixture over cake batter. Put the first mixture (batter) over the strudel mixture. In other words, layer the cake batter and strudel mixture ending with strudel mixture. Put almonds on top if you desire.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
