Live life deliciously! Stop, laugh and have a good time!

As many of you know, my daughter and I traveled to France but our luggage did not. We watched the carousel go round and round -- certain that our zillion pound suitcases would magically appear. But nope. Not for a few days. I guess it really didn't matter whether our sun dresses arrived or not... The forecast along the French Riviera was cold and rainy -- a first for June since 1977.

Cousin Johnny, whom I was hugging for the first time in my life, apologized. "I swear, it only rains about ten days out of the year in St. Tropez. I cannot believe those ten days are during your trip!"

"When it iz zunny outzide, I take you to ze beach. Today I take you to zome back roads. So you can zee less tourist ztuff, you know?" (Me and my cousin, Pascale. She is a jewel!)

The good news -- is that when it rains, (at least in June), there are not many tourists out and about. Therefore Marissa and I quickly got into castles, the Sistene Chapel and Coliseum, too.

(Whoops! This photo was taken in Monaco and the next in St. Tropez... is it possible there were two moons?)

When in Rome... feeling quite Dr. Seussish, we immediately hopped on pop after this photo was shot!

One of our many highlights was sitting in the front row during mass at the Vatican.

It was totally cool when the Pope waived right at us.

The food, (which everyone has asked us about) was both delicious and hilarious. Half of the time we had no idea what we were ordering. Once we even got scolded from Pizza Lady for not eating what was on our plates.

Check my blog twice a week for funnies from France. I definitely hope I can return there one day. They say if you make a wish at the Trevi Fountain, you will return... So, Marissa and I took our new friend, Vince from Carmel, California there. He had traveled to Italy with his grandfather after graduating college; to trace his roots. Isn't it interesting how each one of us comes from somewhere but we never really stop to think about where that is? Yet once we get there -- wherever that is, we want to leave a mark?
