Meet Artist Michael Warren from Memphis Tennessee. Michael has been showing his work since the early 1990’s.

Many Memphis venues have shown his work, including Java Cabana, 863 Gallery, Plan B Gallery, Clip Joint Gallery, Mo’s Music Café and Republic Coffee House. His work also hangs in the New Daisy Theatre, Synergy Recovery Center and the Memphis Child Advocacy Center.

In addition, Michael has provided illustrations for CD covers, including Singer/Songwriter Steve Reid. His illustrations of Mike Tyson were published by the Memphis Commercial Appeal Newspaper to pique interest leading up to the Lewis-Tyson fight at the Pyramid.

Outside of Tennessee, Warren’s art hangs in Mosaic Studio in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Singer/Songwriter Jack Ingram of Austin, Texas owns 3 of Michael’s paintings, and Singer/Songwriter James McMurtry of Houston, Texas owns one.

Although his only formal training was High School art class, Warren is a true example that natural talent prevails. His major influences, evident in his pieces, are Pablo Picasso, self-taught artist Francesco Clemente and iconic comic book artists Frank Miller and David Mack.

Michael currently lives in Memphis, Tennessee and enjoys spending time with his family, drawing, reading, working out and is an avid pro-boxing fan.

Michael will be showing art at the first Dishing with Debbie, Flip Your Dish event at Caffe Tazza August 30, from 6-9pm. His new collection of artwork is titled T Texas T for Tennessee. Half of all art sales will go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
