4 cups strawberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 tablespoons cornstarch
red food coloring
baked pie shell
Simmer 1 cup strawberries and 2/3 cups water for 3 minutes. Mix in sugar and corn starch. Add remaining 1/3 cup of water. Cook stirring constantly until clear and thick. Add coloring and cool. Add other 3 cups of strawberries in mixture. Poor in pie shell and let cool. Top with whipped cream.
