Hello, I'm Rusty, with Rusty's Grass Finished Foods.

Our family has been in the dairy business, in Iowa, since before I was born. We were the first to graze large herds of dairy cows, using MIG management, beginning in the early 80's. In the north you are forced to house your cattle for 5 months of the year because of winter conditions. So our family found ourselves migrating south, for more than just the winter. Since we moved to Texas we have been able to graze our dairy herds for 9-10 months of the year. With our grass-fed beef and lamb, we are grazing 12 months of the year, by use of perennials and annuals, as well as planted ryes and stockpiled forages. My father "Steve Roth" has given me the knowledge I hold so valuable. He taught me how to grow the best feed possible and how to manage large grazing groups, which is a skill not easily learned.

Now, I've always raised grass-fed beef for our family, I just never had the knowledge to market the product, until recently. The more I learned about it, the more I was intrigued about the health qualities. I watched shows about fungus and micotoxins in grain products and incorporated my new knowledge into my grass fed business. I started organically cooking and creating gourmet meals. I went from hating to cook, to loving it and actually have gotten the chance to cook for many clients, which I have enjoyed very much.

I can proudly say our products contain none of the following and never will: Hormones, Antibiotics, MSG's, Nitrates, Artificial flavors, Preservatives, Corn or Grain additives. We use ALL NATURAL curing. If it can't be grown naturally, we don't want it in any of our food.

For years we have been taught that grain-fed meat is the way to go, well I am here to show you that grass-fed meat is the direction we should be aiming for.

Which would you rather have?

A). Grain-fed animals with antibiotics and hormones and unknown amount of chemicals.
B). Grass-fed animals with grass being the ONLY ingredient with NO grain supplements, NO hormones, No antibiotics, NO chemicals.

My grass finished products have some different qualities than other grass-fed operations. The problem with some grass-fed operations is they supplement with grain products in the winter when they run out of grazing. My grass finished products are grass-fed ONLY, NO grain ever. If this is hard to believe, have me cook for you personally!
