Turning into Turnips

Note from Debbie: "I never thought I would turn into a turnip lover until my step-dad made these. Then that was it - I turned turnips!!"

Ingredients
6 medium or 8 small turnips; peeled
4 medium to large Idaho potatoes, peeled
2 TBSP unsalted butter; melted
2 green onions; chopped
1 teasp jalapeno juice (or more to taste)
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teap kosher salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Olive oil

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. In a small bowl, mix together jalapeno juice, cream, broth, salt and pepper. Set aside. Lightly grease a casserole dish with olive oil. Slice potatoes and turnips into 1/8 inch rounds. Lay slices into casserole dish. Drizzle butter over turnips and potatoes. Sprinkle chopped onions over melted butter. Pour broth over chopped onions.
