So every Thursday I post my what was I thinking when I wasn’t thinking moments which I seem to have oodles of.
This week, (wink-wink), I didn’t have any. Ohhhhkay, so that’s a teensy exaggeration. The truth is, I thought it might be fun to flip my dish. That’s right — do something wild and crazy, like take the day off. Woah! Go to a water park and slide down tubes that turn directions my body doesn’t move anymore.
That’s when my friend Bonnie said, Hey! Look how adorable Becky-FrumpMama looks in her prize from Southern Gourmet! I think we need to make her our first Golden Apple Thoughtable Award winner, for posting sweet thoughts about winning in her blog.

What a cool looking award! I was very tempted in hop in my kids pool today.
Your son is a freshman! Wow - My daughter is a sophmore! It is hard to see them grow up, but it would be harder to have your child never grow or have your child remain the same forever.
Being a Mom has its special tears moments though and I think that is what you are having.
It will be o.k.
The best part about working a school is that you get to be on your kids schedules. I have been blessed to have my “day off” with the kids this summer. We love the water parks and just relaxing at home. I say- go for it! Make it a wonderful day off! My favorite time alone, is with my kids… I only get to have them for a few more years and it is going to fast!!! Graduation is right around the corner….
Love every minute you can with your loved ones! God has blessed you with all of them, even the PULLING out your HAIR moments! !!!!
Take the day and enjoy..time passes fast mine are all grown and I would love to go back a few years and take off a couple of days…enjoy your family all of them..
Yes indeed take the day and a few more too. All to soon they are grown. The only advantage is the grandkids they help fill the emptiness. God bless and enjoy.

What a cool prize to give out….and what a cute apron.
Everyone is entitled to a day off now and then even Moms. Quality time with your kids no matter what age they are is very special. I don’t know that I would choose a waterslide because I have a definite fear of heights, but I would say “go for it”. I enjoy your website a bunch. Wish you show was broadcast in my area.

Instead of risking getting stuck in a water slide and making the 6 o’clock news, I would like to suggest a good water balloon fight! The last time my kids and I had one, somehow I ended up soaking wet and the kids… well not a drop on them.. I am almost positive they had a plan! 
Waterslides!!! What fun….usually that is….unless you scrape your bottom on your way down. My last experience with waterslides was most memorable because I was heading down in an innertube when all of a sudden….boom….my butt sunk too low in the tube and I had a nice large hole right in the middle of my swimsuit. Now that wouldn’t be so bad except I had to make my way back to my towel after getting off. Not only did I have to throw away my favorite swim suit but I couldn’t sit for days!!
